I know this has been a while since we posted anything on here but Emmaline is a Diva and likes all of our time. It works out just fine since we like giving it all to the little cutie. As most of you know by now Little E had a bad reaction to an infection and had to go to the hospital. Since she was only 8 days old she had to be admitted and stayed getting antibiotics for 12 days. This is about the time the blogging stopped. Emmaline has since recovered and is doing great. She has started to put on weight and may soon finally grow out of some newborn clothes. As you can tell from some of her pictures I think all of her weight is going to making her arms and legs longer. She is a little gangly and looks slightly like a stick figure.
Emmaline has been doing very well with sleeping though the night and just last night woke up only 2 times and had 5 plus hours asleep at one time! Even with the long nights sleep she is a sleepy head. I think her goal is to not be awake for any of the AM hours, so she tries to sleep until the afternoon. When I get up for work I often find Kristin and little E in the guest bedroom sleeping the morning away.
This last weekend Kristin went back for a friend’s wedding and left the E’s home alone for two and a half days. I am not going to lie I was a little worried about it. I thought I was in for a long couple of days since the first night she got up at 12:45, 2:00, 3:30, 5:45 and 6:30 am. I think she was testing me. The second night went much smoother and she only got up 3 times and was a good girl during the day. A couple of friends came over on Saturday to make sure we were both still kicking and brought me lunch. It was MUCH appreciated. I will admit I did make one mistake instead of reading the formula container I thought that Kristin told me once that it was one scoop of formula for one ounce of water. It is not. It is half a scoop per once. When I was informed of my mistake, Emmaline not wanting to eat for about 5 hours really made sense.
Well this is my last week of work before I go home to be with Emmaline for 5 weeks. I will try and be more diligent with blog postings and will try and post some new pictures soon.

Yay for emmaline! Evie is still in her newborn clothes too, but that may be partially due to the fact that putting her in a bigger size would mean that she is getting bigger and we want her to be small forever! We want more pictures! Sorry we couldnt visit while we were on the east coast
